My Award! | Allura Cosplay

Image
Hello everyone! Today I wanted to tell you all about the award I won for my costume! I was cosplaying at Kogata Daycon as Princess Allura from Voltron: Legendary Defender.  I entered the cosplay contest, and I won this! If you guys have any questions, please comment! Thanks for reading! P.S. More posts will come because volleyball season is over, and I have after school off! Keep Cosplaying!

Laura Dactyl's Introduction!

Hey guys! It's Julia. Today, I wanted to introduce you to a member of this group! She loves cosplaying as envy, and she is very important to the group. Everyone give it up for America's favorite envy cosplayer... I typed some questions for her to answer in this post so you guys can get to know her. What is your favorite cosplay you have done? "I like cosplaying as Envy. It's because I'm a hot boy." What cosplay plans do you have for the future? "I don't even know anymore. If I could do any character it would be Ling Yao." Why do you like to cosplay? "Because I can, I'm a sassy girl." Do you have anything else to say? "No." Say something. "I'm giving up on you."

Quick Update!

Hey guys! It's Julia here! I wanted to let you all know that I am still trying my best to be active on this blog. I think about it every day. I am very busy with school, but I will be posting more in later October because Volleyball season is over. (Which means nothing after school, Yay!) Also, if you want to see some occasional updates, check me out on Instagram! @Inazuma.cosplay Or Jewelshine on many Aminos!

Kagamine Rin! | New Cosplay!

Kagamine Rin! | New Cosplay Hey, guys! It's Julia! Today I wanted to show you guys a new cosplay I'm working on!  I had attempted this in the past with my.... old cosplay blog. Let's just say, this one is going a LOT better than before. While of course, it's not perfect, it's pretty good for my skill level. If you guys do not know who Kagamine Rin is, she is a Vocaloid. Her first name is Rin, her last name is Kagamine. (Yknow, in Japan they say the last name first unless you're friends.) As you can see, I am not done with it at all. I have the ribbon, collar, and trim done. The collar is uneven, as you can see from the leaning on the back. It looks better once I put it on, but I still plan to fix it. The ribbon curves in intentionally to remove the flat look. I think it makes it look like leaves! The trim on the bottom was made with felt. I do not recommend doing this, but I fixed it. It made the bottom fan out and stick stra...

Posing Tips for Cosplay Photos | Tutorial

Posing Tips for Cosplay Photos | Tutorial Hey Guys, It's Julia! Today, I wanted to give you some tips I've learned from YouTube, cosplay contests, and personal photo shoots.  If you want some extra information, there are many YouTube videos.  This one helped me a lot:  How to Pose Like a Pro Silhouettes:  This was one of the points discussed in the video, and this truly works! I'm sure most people know about "Who's that Pokemon?" from the Pokemon anime. This is what I'm talking about. In this photo, you can tell this is obviously Pikachu. Even without minor details, colors, and a face. In photos, you should be able to be recognized as that character. I understand that some cosplays are hard to distinguish without the minor details. If this is the case, be sure to express your emotions. The silhouette should be able to be translated as, angry, sad, happy, and etc. To enhance this, try to keep your limbs apart so you will not create ...

My First Cosplay Award! | Random

My First (and only) Cosplay Award! | Random Hey, guys, it's Julia! Yesterday, I found my old cosplay award from my first anime con!  It's from two whole years ago! When I did my first ever cosplay, Link, from The Legend of Zelda ! I was so proud of it! This was before I even thought about making Inazuma cosplay, and when I first got into fandoms online! Well, here it is! Sorry for bad quality!
